Meet Emily Shelley
Hello and welcome to my website, where I love to share all things beauty. If you’re new here, hi, I’m Emily, owner and lead skincare expert at British Beauty Salon. My passion for the industry started over a decade ago, and since then, I’ve loved nothing more than to help all my clients look and feel fantastic. In case you wanted to know a little bit more about me, here’s a few facts:
- My desire to enter into the world of beauty started from a personal experience. I have vitiligo, which is where patches of skin lose its pigment cells and therefore its colour. I learnt to love my skin and wanted to help others feel nothing short of amazing in theirs, which is why I personally specialise in skin-related treatments.
- I’ve been trained by some of the top therapists in the industry. When I started my career, I worked for some of the best salons in Suffolk and Essex, so my appreciation and understanding for the importance of top-quality skincare is deep-rooted.
- I’ve imparted my skincare expertise and knowledge to leading skincare experts all over Europe. I’ve been lucky enough to travel in the past and have previously conducted training courses on all things skin related across the UK and Europe.
- I’m an advocate for mental health and its importance. I’ve completed mental health training so that I can ensure British Beauty is a safe and relaxing space for everyone who chooses to visit.
- Just a little fun fact to end on – I’ve worked with lots of different celebrities during my career (I won’t name names, but one lovely lady certainly didn’t have me ‘walking on broken glass’) and received glowing recommendations due to my high-quality skincare standards and practices.
